Given what happened to his mother , the presure on his marriage and the rift with his brother then fair play to the couple .

Tax payers grand wedding and a cottage renovation for a couple of million I believe. If they are stepping back has senior royals maybe they should give up their royal titles, and stop taking tax payers money.

Very good points. Quick to dip their hand into the bottomless money pot from the public then off they go. Wait until Liz asks for another 20 or so million again this year to keep up the Royal household..... she’ll get it like last year.
I wonder how long it will last before they come scurrying back saying, ‘They had made a mistake and now wish to take up Royal duties’. In other words they’ve no money.

I don't understand the working towards financial independence that the couple announced last night .
William and Harry were left £13m when their mother died and the Queen Mother also left them millions we she passed away .
