If TS backs warne with a few more signings I'm sure we can overtake Peterborough.

Heres what contributors said about our town....

I was born and bred in Rotherham. I spent the first 25 years of my life there and, though I remember it being a decent place as a nipper, nowadays it truly is an un-flushed toilet of a town.

I highly recommend a visit to anyone lucky enough to be passing by on the M1, junction 33. Just 10 minutes there will leave you feeling much better about your own sh*tty city.

Regional attractions include mullets! You thought they came and went in the 80’s? Not in Rotherham they didn’t.
I stopped going into the town centre. There was no point. I like a pint without violence. I like to sometimes buy stuff that costs £1.99 – or more!

After a year of reading headlines in the Rotherham Advertiser like ‘Chip Pan Fire Guts House’, ‘Body found outside Takeaway’ and ‘Asbo Grandad at it again’ I decided I somehow didn’t fit in and moved away.

Two sides to every story GM.

I'm sure you'll get plenty of counter arguments. Particularly from the 2 or 3 regular (non overseas) contributors who don't live within 200 miles of the place but somehow seem to know more about it than everyone else.

You know the one's? The one's brought up in Moorgate or on or around Morthern Road. They know their stuff these lads so I think you should reserve judgement and wait for the facts. (as seen 200+ miles away)

    Indeed Howdy.

I cant believe we finish behind Stoke who are only 9th! had to laugh at one of the comments on Stoke...
It’s like somebody kidnapped every single village idiot in the world, gave them a sh#te accent and dropped them here.

Who does these surveys, and why? What's the point of making a list of working class towns. down on their luck? Who is interested and why?
Some people with far too much time on their hands.

Never lived in Peterborough, but I've been there to see the Millers play there at least five times and had a look around the city centre each time. Some decent shops, pubs, places to eat, etc - not very obvious what is allegedly so bad about it

Wouldn't read too much into it. If it was a genuine top 10 list it would be made up entirely of London boroughs, the sort of places where you pay £1,500 a month to share an ex-council flat with three other corporate drones in a drug dealer infested tower block. Makes Eastwood look like Nirvana.
