That was a "top of the league" moan from Arteta. What a load of old bollox. Arsenal were very fortunate not to lose yesterday.
Yes not only are we masters of ****housery but the Turf Moor pitch is specially prepared for our brand of anti-football with a variety of long grass that is designed to snare and trip up opposition teams whilst incredibly allowing Burnley players free passage. In truth it wasn’t the grass that needed cutting but the clear cut openings we made that needed taking. Arsenal barely posed a threat in the second half and three points would have been no more than we deserved. Enjoy the winter break everyone and prepare for Southampton!

It did seem to be very noticeable that a number of Arsenal players kept tripping and falling over, I had never thought that it could have been the long grass, however, if an expert like Arteta says it was too long, who am I to argue?
My own thoughts do match yours, BT ----Bollox --with a capital 'B'
What Mikel Arteta fails too appreciate is, that if that long grass hadn't been entwining Jay's ankles he would have banged that sitter into the back of their onion bag, and his precious Arsenal team would have gone away pointless. He should thank our groundsman for helping him out.
Yes fcking BS excuses annoyed me also, "Grass to dry" "Long ball" "negative football"
He is taking absolute ****e
We played the better football, they setup defensively and all there chances (3) came from "anti football" counter attacking, with a "long ball"
64% of the possession of play was in the Arsenal half in the first half!!
Just arrived at the Turf, with love from Arteta…

That would never be powerful enough according to Arteta.
We need machetes and chain saws.
Who knows what we might find once we have lopped the undergrowth down? We may find the key to the dry powder store, the blimp (remember that?) and a speedy winger or two.
Come to think of it, he may have done us a favour.
Interesting analysis in the Telegraph on why Arteta is struggling to get Arsenal flowing as an attacking force. It's quite in depth, aspects of the game at Turf Moor are used as examples several times to highlights areas where Arsenal are failing and need to improve. Strangely, despite it being quite a lengthy and comprehensive piece, long grass is never mentioned even once.

In the unlikely event that we fall behind at Southampton, I and my offspring intend to start chanting "THE GRASS IS TOO SHORT" repeatedly. Hopefully we will not get the opportunity : o )
