TalkSPORT are doing a feature on mascots now. West Ham charge a massive £700 each and have 11 per home match.

I had a quick look at ours which is £250 and you get all this.:

Being a mascot is an action packed day which includes:
• Meet the players in the dressing room before the match

- Two course meal

• Lead the players out for the game

• Have a picture taken with the captains and officials prior to kick-off

• Be presented with a signed football by the man of the match

• Silver Lounge passes

• Car parking space

• Full replica kit

• Two programmes

• Team sheets

• One seat for the mascot and two for their guests (mascot seats are situated behind the away dugout, additional tickets can be purchased)

I think the premier league lot are taking the piss and the millions they are turning over means they should probably hold free ballots in local schools. What average football fan has £700 to spend on their kid to be a mascot? Anyone that’s got that type of money already has very spoilt kids.
