Had Warnock been here he'd have been saying, ' Come on Son we need you in this run in' ala Frecklington. Then again, Frecks was our player and Barlaser isn't. We need Barlaser's silky passes/moves to carry us over the line.

Still, we have Jamie Lindsay who will simply relish at starting for us at Rochdale. A great signing for us and should Barlaser return to Newcastle close season to be bought or go elsewhere next season, then Jamie is a perfect replacement. Is pass through to Freddie last Saturday shows he too can pass a ball. In his tenacious midfield role, strong tackles and the ability to break up play, we have a ready made midfield General. As they say, 'definitely one for the future'.

NB. What do you think Barlaser's worth in the current market and can we afford to put a bid in?

I guess it would be wages that would be the issue rather than the bid.

Hopefully we'll get into Championship then Newcastle may loan him to us again so they can see how he fares at a higher level

Bramley, yes I've already given thought to that and maybe Warne is showing respect to both Newcastle and Barlaser by treating the situation like he has, therefore leaving room to approach both player and club for another loan period next season, if at all possible.

Like i said, if Warnock had been here....

No idea in this crazy market. But no, we can't. We wouldn't get anywhere near the wages required.

However, he may have a clause in the loan contract that if he scores the winner against the Maccams o the last day .....

Best to let him sit the Rochdale game out, heavy playing surface and nothing like the turf at NYS.

Time for Jamie Lindsay to show what he's capable of.

Nothing very specific on Radio DeeDah tonight, but Millers fans who rang in were very optimistic about a quick return for Dan. Let's hope that those views are based on reliable inside information

Callers were complimentary about Jamie too. We have some good midfielders. I'm more worried about the defence really
