    O/T:- Furlough

Anyone else on here been furloughed?

Mine starts tomorrow for 3 weeks, then possibly another 3 weeks depending on what the restrictions are at the time. 6 weeks off, I may well go mad.

I have a walk planned tomorrow in the morning and a bike ride in the afternoon, feel like a rebel.

Sorry you are in furlough, hope it works out for you. However, don’t be one of the pricks that is taking the wazz with the ‘exercise’ allowance.
I nipped to my closest shop for some bread today and had to wait outside the shop whilst a family of 7 went in... blood and p1ss was bubbling. Had enough of wazzocks taking the proverbial now.

I know everyone has different circumstances and lifestyles, but if I had been told by work to stay at home on 80% pay at this time of year when I was working I would have been doing bloody cartwheels! I miss not playing squash, but try and compensate with a bit of cycling and gardening. The only thing I am really missing is not being allowed to play with my 3 year old grandson. It's two weeks now since I last played dinosaurs, trains and monster trucks and it's starting to get to me.

Liverpool have furloughed some of their non-playing staff.

They only have a turnover of £533m so perfectly reasonable to expect the taxpayer to foot the bill.

I've been reading about the 5 Premier League clubs, Liverpool, Tottenham, Newcastle, Bournemouth and Norwich, who have put non-playing staff on furlough and will be claiming 80% of their wages from the Government.

For Government read taxpayer. I for one am not happy to be subsidising the likes of Liverpool and Tottenham, last season's Champion's League finalists.

Whilst I agree what they have all done is wrong and isn’t right morally why are football clubs and players being attacked on a regular basis ?

We all know they are overpaid but haven’t airline companies and pubs furloughed staff as well with billionaire owners like Tim Martin and Branson etc.

For the record I think it’s only fair for the media to start attacking all billionaires Dyson, Branson, Green but as they are all probably friends of the establishment nothing will get said.

When you see retired ex NHS workers helping at the drop of a hat for free and then see really wealthy business people do nothing it gets you mad what I’m saying is football isn’t the only business doing this it’s just the one that is being fed by the mainstream media.

Let's hope when this is all over, the public remember what those greedy b@stards did.

It's more about being sensible. Avoid places that are likely to be busy such as Bestwood Park, Gedling Country Park etc. I walk my dog through fields and only see a handful of other people and don't need to pass in close proximity on a path. People are getting confused on what we can and can't do. Most of what is said are guidelines only.
