    Premier League quiz

Not too hard, this one (he said, looking at the answers )

Which Premier League winner’s father played rugby for Wales?
What year did the Premier League start?
Who was the first sponsor of the Premier League?
In what season did Roman Abramovich take over Chelsea?
Which player holds the record for the most goals in consecutive Premier League games?
Kevin Phillips (little shite) won the Golden Boot in 1999/2000, who was the next English player to do so?
Which player holds the record for most consecutive Premier League appearances (310)?
What was significant about Mario Balotelli’s only assist in the Premier League for Manchester City?
Who scored the first ‘perfect hat-trick’ (left foot, right foot, and header) in the Premier League?
What player scored four goals in 12 minutes after coming on as a sub versus Nottingham Forest?

I'll hoy the answers up later.

And the grammar pedant in me needs to point out it should be 'which' player, not 'what' player. That's what copy and paste gets you.

Although, to be fair, the original page didn't have that little bit about that little rat Phillips in it either.

    Hmm, dunno... Giggs?

What year did the Premier League start?
    '92/'93

In what season did Roman Abramovich take over Chelsea?
2002 I believe. A couple of years before he brought in Mourinho and changed the league forever.

Which player holds the record for the most goals in consecutive Premier League games?
    Ronaldo?

Kevin Phillips (little shite) won the Golden Boot in 1999/2000, who was the next English player to do so?
Michael Owen. Or at least he won the Ballon D'or around that time (insane).

    Carling and '92 correct.

The consecutive games scored in....I'm fairly sure the player concerned did it at our place quite recently. As he was walking back to the centre circle he looked round, clearly taken aback, because most of the ground was on its feet applauding him for breaking the record. It was one of those really good sporting moments because there was that realisation as he looked around that everyone was applauding him, even though we were having our arses handed to us. He applauded back and then we went back to thinking he was a ****.
