Should you have been on holiday somewhere right now ?

If so, where would you have been. ? I should have been halfway through a 4 week adventure to New Zealand. A lifetime ambition, 6 months of planning all gone out of the window. Being realistic, right now ,there are far more important things to concentrate on, but this temporary setback has made us more determined to go this time next year. Fingers crossed all is well with the world.

We should have been staying at my mate's on the Isle of Man for the whole week. I generally prefer Easter to Christmas but not this year.

We should have been staying up in the North East at Amble, might even have met up with my mate 59 again, us Grammar School boys do like to keep in touch, next month we should have had two nights in Madrid, train to Barcelona and a West Med cruise before flying back from Rome. All gone now.

A couple of two day breaks in the Lakes while knocking off a few Wainwrights and supping the local ale.

We had booked a week in Eastbourne for June.

We WERE planning to go trekking in Patagonia next March but have put that on hold.

Sinkov, I am also an ex-grammar type, but I live in Morecambe. Did you mean Super?

We were supposed to go away next Friday for a 14 day cruise and then we were supposed to be going to Berlin in early June followed by a RAF reunion the week after ---sadly all gone and I think that that the RL Magic Weekend at the end of May will also be gone.

I think that sinkov was referring to me and it wil be good to meet up again sometime in the future.

Stay safe folks and don't think too deeply about life ---it doesn't really do any good, best just to get on with things ---it is what it is!

We need to meet up sometime mon ami

You are a very decent sort of chap but you need straitening out on certain matters. Politics, car waxing and your inclination to sup wine being a few issues that need addressing.

You want to see the car now 59, you could drive it straight into a showroom, even the tyre walls are glistening, people have to shield their eyes when they walk past the end of the drive.

You're right though, we will have to meet up sometime, I'm intrigued, a thoroughly decent, intelligent, sensible chappy you seem to be, but a member of the LibDems, and someone who thinks the country of his birth is better run from Belgium ? Something doesn't add up, this requires investigation over a pint or two in the not so distant future, I reckon mon ami.

    Sounds good to me

We'll have a real fun evening.

i'll bring my bar charts, graphs and supporting documentation explaining why every right minded brit should support the Lib Dems and why leaving the EU has already resulted in a global pandemic.

The first UK case was confirmed on 31st January - Brexit day.

    I don't believe in coincidences.

    Your round?
