    Ground

What if a new 80,000 seater ground is in the plans. Any objections. Personally would be great if current location could be used but not at the cost of club growth.

I’m not sure how much space would be available to turn the pitch 90 degrees and build the stadium around that, as was proposed once.
If there was enough room then that would be ideal. If there wasn’t I’d like to see a brand new one built on the town moor near Exhibition Park.
State of the Art, naturally 🧐 .

I think the ground is landlocked, Metro track n stuff.
I wonder if the land around the ground, some of which Ashley I think currently owns is in the deal?

Has this deal gone through yet? What i've read on this board lately is we've got the bestest manager money can buy and now we are moving St. James'. Can we take it one step at a time. I'm trying to be optimistic about this but...........

The way I see it with all the activity on Companies House its a done deal and just waiting for the Premier League fit and proper owners test to be completed which started last week.
Its too far down the line for fatty to pull the plug without having his fat arse sued in court which would cost him a fortune. Get the cans out and enjoy.

Back on thread, will need expansion if not bigger ground. The demand is going to be huge.

I think he flogged it already and the plans for development have been approved by the council.

Assuming town Moor ruled out, has the city and ground to use

They've already started. Which means the Gallowgate can only go up, not out over the road (Strawberry place) anymore.

The only direction to build currently is up, without the surrounding building area to use. Could build stands so high SJP could be seen from anywhere in the North East.
