    Owners and Directors Test

This - if true - suggests to me, ours will pass because it meets all current threshholds and they'd face a massive court case (they'd lose) if they changed the rules mid-way through.

It also suggests to me that they will make rules different and harder for clubs in the future.

If true, would confirm our suspicions that the PL would prefer not to have them pass the test the bunch of fucking wankers.

BUT...it also suggests it's definitely going ahead as they wouldn't be able to change the requirements once the process had started.

    Ha!!

I know people are adamant this is done but the fact of the matter is, it isn't. I for one have had a bad feeling from the start that this will get blocked and still have that feeling now. I don't think the same stories or complaints would of seen the light of day if the same people were buying say Manure. I saw a good right up about how people at the top wouldn't want us becoming a superpower in the game and upsetting the already settled powers of our league. I strongly agree with that hence why nobody has stuck up for us for 12+ Fu(king years under our terrible ownership from Ashley. Where was all the bad press and letter to Eddie Hearn when he took the AJ world title fight to Saudi? It just seems so different because it's us and it's killing me. I hope you guys are right and it's set in stone I really do but I won't be getting excited until it's happened.

Aalreet, Jacko. Tbh, I think the only person who is truly confident is Geordie; I'm veering between 'aye, they'll pass, the PL don't like it but can't do anything about it so are just making double, triple sure that there's no comeback'....and 'the longer this goes on, the more worried I get that they're finding a way to block it'.

I agree that the 'powers that be' don't want the upstart Northerners crashing their party and would be delighted if this bid failed. I've parked my excitement for now because, whilst the rational part of me agrees with Geordie, I'm having to fight quite hard to stem the rising worry. We are SO close to something life-changing for all of us, not just the Club, that the disappointment if it didn't happen would be crushing-no point denying it. Hence the lack of excitement-it's basically self-preservation.

I would love us to be able to replicate the feelings the Rangers supporters are enjoying at the moment.

Apologies. Posted this on the wrong thread

How long do you all think it has been with the Premier League. Went the 9th but that was day before Good Friday. So let's say 14th April. So from then until now its been 17 working days.
Now the Man City takeover took 22 days. We are still 5 days behind that timeframe. Also to say it will be rejected, on what grounds in the test will it be rejected. I am no legal expert but have been over it and unless the Premeir League know something we don't it will pass. But am interested in what part of the test it will fail on for those of you that think it will.

I think if it fails they will have to make some new obscure variation of some rule to hang their coat on, and I don't know what an appeal procedure would entail and even who could be neutral to consider to be on an appeal panel, but when you think of all of the government deals, either open or underhand which have been conducted with the Saudis for yonks years then the F.A. would show themselves up far from being whiter than white than is possible.

FA apperently feel Govt have hung them out to dry by not getting involved as whatever happens the FA will get hit by one side or another.

In regards to G74, what it could fail on - i'm sure nothing but equally it wouldn't surprise me if they used the alleged piracy thing as fig leaf covering over another point.

I think it is less likely than likely and I take your point that hasn't been very long in the works at FA but still, bitter experience has taught me to be wary.

Thats the thing. People say it will fail but on what grounds ?. They say it will but don't give the reason. Nobody knows where it is at with the PL. Its their lawyers that look at it, we are in the middle of a pandemic so its going to take longer.
It will pass but I firmly believe there will be an overhaul of the test in future. For that I couldn't care less what they do with it after this takeover.
Everyone do yourselves a favour. DON'T read the Daily Mail, they are making things up, DON'T listen to Luke Edwards either. He is getting a thrill out of panicking supporters, he is up Bruce's arse and wants it to fail so his mate stays in a job.
