Beware use of cards at Argos

We’ve had our Barclaycard blocked so we phoned the fraud number.

According to Barclaycard Argos is absolutely rife with people using dodgy cards to buy from there.

Following a failed attempt to buy from Argos on Saturday our cards have been useless until now.

Barclays advice was to avoid Argos like the plague!

    Was that online or instore.
I had the case last week of trying to buy off Amazon. Got a card not acceted message. Tried another order with another supplier and got the same and that my card had been blocked. In the meantime I had used my card to purchase groceries instore. A call to the Bank then passed onto their (automated) fraud line then got my card "reinstated"

Ordered some batteries the other day on argos and paid online. Got to Sainsburys where Argos is situated, only to be told by the security bloke (who controls how many enter the shop) that even though i'd already paid i will still need to go to the back of the queue which was, no exaggerating, about 5 miles long. Finally get in the shop after 30 mins queuing only to find I had to join another queue for Argos inside Sainsburys, Only one on the till and took a further 30 mins to get the batteries. Doubt i'll be using Argos again in the future less hassle using Amazon

It was online using our business Barclaycard.

By all accounts Argos has massive issues with fraudulent purchases.

I guess the lowlife take a brochure home and then purchase on someone else’s card.

Got to say that's a very short turn around for a five mile queue Phil' .

I don't think Argos should even be open. They don't sell anything that can't wait until after the whole thing has died down.
People back the shutdown until they want something.
