The reports I have read/fired into Google translate do not suggest obvious precedent for Hearts to cite but who knows.
I see today the SPFL are debating the latest proposals, no doubt the topic might come up...

Hearts will currently clutch at any straw to avoid relegation.

We're reaching the point at which the least worst option might be to relegate Hearts, promote United and get on with it. I can't see any proposal for reconstruction getting through; a new one seems to emerge every couple of days and goes nowhere.
If a court case follows, it might at least clarify what the folk at Hampden can do and what they can't do within their own constitution. I can see why they're trying to dodge the bullet of a court case; if Hearts were to win it the ball would be right up on the slates.
But time and money are running out; if the starting point is taking on Hearts, they need to do it.

Still don't see how that gets support tbh.
The SPFL should have the courage to go to court if need be. For the millionth time it's worth pointing out that if Hearts had won that last game at St Mirren none of this would be an issue.

….news from the south (Queen of). Local paper today - QoS chairman Bill Hewitson clearly irritated by re-emergence of 14-10-10. Meanwhile, far way to the west, Stranraer must be wondering if they'll be facing a trip to Brora, as well as to other places hundreds of miles away from Stranraer.
Time for the lower tiers to have a look at the geography and split into north and south?
