In the 60's and 70's those that turned art were known as the "faithful 5000" referring to the core attendance no matter how we were playing or which league we were in.
The reduced prices for what are now known as "Season Members" finished yesterday when the vast majority of tickets are sold and there were about 5000 Adults and 2000 Kids renewed.
With the reduced prices and lower numbers the income received from Members (fans) will be well down on last season's total of 10/11,000. Sponsors will not be happy as well.
Dog will be looking to sell players fairly quickly. Selling Wilks to relegation rivals Hull as soon as the window opened is just the first.

Was it an undisclosed fee SB? and pre-determined in the loan agreement?
A usual it is "undisclosed". I dont know if a fee was agreed last January. When it was arranged last January the loan was meant to end after the season had finished in early May and new contracts came into force on 30th June.
When it comes to Wilks, I know there is a moody/petulant young man in him but I also think theres a decent footballer waiting to come out. We may rue the day we let him go or do the club know something we dont?
Thanks for the info SB
The OWS are saying Hull activated a loan to permanent agreement and that is why Wilks has gone. I'm sure I read around the time of the move in January that that clause kicked in at the end of the season which was officially changed by the EFL. I may well be wrong and the date of 30th June was written in the agreement but I'm sure a bright bloke like Hoss could argue the case if they wanted to keep him. "Sue the guy". I suspect they were glad of the money. I just hope he doesn't do the business for Hull ovva the next five games.
