    Football with supporters

Might be back in October says Boris the Bold

Fair enough but away fans have to be banned for it to work and to be fair

Let’s say the season starts earlier than October but with no fans, then the fixtures come out and we are playing Wednesday and Huddersfield (both maybe) before October, then we miss out on revenue compared to playing both of them after October when we could possibly get the revenue from away fans

Got to be a season with a complete away fan ban.

I’m hoping there will be a option for people who still don’t feel safe to go, I for one won’t go back into a full stadium until there’s a vaccine if it’s turn up or nothing il cancel my season ticket.

I’m not getting it so some Oxford twt can use me as a lab rat

Why not just start the season in October.

Start the season in October, as Lol says. No away fans. A fair start for everyone. Cancel the league cup, and no replay in the FA cup. Decide on the first game. Should be able to catch up a month easily

Everyone’s got the choice to go or not but I don’t like the idea of season ticket holders being told to renew, ether go later and watch half a season for full price or turn up and risk yourselves to the covid.

I hope going will be optional and some sort of arrangement can be made to protect season ticket holders

You may feel comfortable with going but let me ask you this what if you didn’t, what if you had something that put you in the vulnerable category and couldn’t go?

It's not like the TV licence Silly, you don't have to have a season ticket It's your choice, don't buy one and don't go if you feel it compromises you or anyone you come into contact with. I'm sure the club will come up with something so long standing customers are able to come back when they feel safe and with their benefits retained.

Yes true but you’ve got to build in the factor of “favourite seat”

Many have got a seat in a position they like and wouldn’t want to give it up, possibly permanently.

If that’s the case then it’s fine but I don’t want to lose my seat because covid, I’d imagine I’m not the only one who won’t go in October

Exactly people love where they sit if club takes it off them for wanting to stay safe it’s like being punished for looking after yourself.

A lot have held their seat since the new ground had opened

I realise that Grist (and Silly). I won't be giving up my seat on the sofa to anyone

Also for most it’s not just the match it’s the “day out”

Banter in the pub wont be there, nor in the concourses of the ground. Catering if it exists will be minimal.

So even if you went to the match the experience wouldn’t be great
