I never have quite managed to grasp how being a socialist deems one to be unpatriotic.

Being a republican does not mean a socialist would not lay down his or her life to defend our nation.

The Accrington Pals according to the local history research contained many working class socialists, but they still got slaughtered in their thousands by socialists in opposing trenches with heavy machine guns.

We commemorate their lives and deaths solemnly every year in Accrington and there is never a dry eye on the hill when the "Last Post" plays.

I'm surprised at that BT, swot up on your George Orwell, he noticed it and remarked upon it many, many years ago. Still applies today.

Generalisation and labelling people into boxes is dangerous IMHO.

Putting people in boxes is what the left excel at at. Identify politics is their bread and butter; what is that but putting people in boxes to create division, with endless intersectionality constantly subdividing people into oppressor and victim. Yes, finally when socialism has failed we find plenty of other types of boxes being required to bury people after lefty genocide. In a real world where virtue and ethics mattered, Socialism would have been binned off years ago as an utter failure and blight on humanity. Instead it just keep on going and people keep on dying.

Not necessarily BT, I always give people every chance, but once I've decided they're a tw@t, I put them into a box labelled 'Tw@t'. I'm very fair, if they prove me wrong I'll take them out of the box, but mostly they stay in. Works for me.

I think you missed Tories, Jews and Israelis off that list BT, an accidental oversight I'm sure.

Certainly not sinkov! They fall into the etc. etc. category.
