Without a doubt and it was something special to see live. A contender for goal of the decade as well even though we are only 8 months in.

It was certainly a special goal, particularly to watch live, and a worthy winner.
But what a fantastic collection of goals. Overall, I reckon that selection would be as good as any club in the country.
We were certainly treated to some quality strikes, last season, that’s for sure

Bit harsh on Brindley, he might never hit a ball as perfectly from that range for the rest of his career, the view from the Kop does it a lot more justice than the main camera angle but Doyle's goal was one you see once every few years in all of the top leagues so you can't complain too much

Among some very strong competition for once, Doyle was a worthy winner. An unforgettable 'I was there' goal for me, especially with it being in stoppage time with the scores level in a cup tie. Okay, it was a low level cup tie, but the feeling when it hit the back of the net was as good as any.

My first thought when I got home was to hope that gumpy had posted a replay!

There’s some stat that most goals are scored from 6 to 12 yards out - but we definitely seemed to get a crazy number of great goals last season. To put that in context, how many great goals did we concede? I remember two worldies from about 30 yards in the FA Cup, but struggling to remember many more.
