    Farrend Rawson

I saw he was in the Stags side today, what happened to him after he left us because I thought he looked very promising when we had him on loan from Derby (I think). He just seemed to drop down the divisions like a stone

I agree, I was at Huddersfield when he made his debut for us in the championship on loan from Derby, as a young lad, and we won 2-0.
He looked really promising but then his form trailed off for us eventually, although I seem to think he went back to Derby because he got injured.
I also think it was because of him that we ended up with our 3 points deduction the other season, but just to be clear it had nothing to do with anything he did and was an administrative error.

Didn’t do to well at Forest Green last season and they released him.

I thought Rawson looked a good prospect when on loan at Rotherham, struck up a good partnership with Broadfoot. where has you had a slow experienced centre half in Broadfoot, & a young fit centre half in Rawson.

Just goes to show that not all young prospects make the necessary adjustments to succeed in the senior game. More often than not it's down to attitude but sometimes it's as simple as not being good enough or suffering an injury from which they never really recover.

He was one of FGR,s best players last season and they obviously wanted him to stay.
He was out of contract but he chose to leave rather than FGR wanting to release him.

From one div 2 club to another one though so yes he hasn't really maintained the standards he once set himself

It's a move closer to home for him as he's from Nottingham.
