I read somewhere, not sure where, that the date for some fans to return is October 3rd. It will more than likely be a third of capacity so expect around 10,000 but probably less.

I just can't see it being successful though unless the Government drops its over cautious policy. If tests are carried out on attendees and some test positive, then you can bet no more fans. Especially as the testers aint gonna tell the difference between the flu and corona.

Recently heard that Sweden, who sensibly did not impose lockdown, are raising their gathering limit from 50 to 500 for some venues such as concerts and football. This is in response to falling covid infections. In which case my estimate of a 3rd capacity for the Hawthorns is way off the mark.

If October 3rd is the pencilled in date for reintroducing fans then expect a similar figure initially ie 500. It would seem unrealistic, I would have thought, to expect zero fans and then suddenly allow up to 10,000! Swedishbaggie maybe able to enlighten us what's happening over there?

It is suggested by Public Health of Sweden, but as of yet, nothing decided.

Cheers SB, Just heard that a friendly game at Brighton today is allowing in 2,500 fans. I suppose it will all depend on infection rates come October onwards both locally/nationally as to how many spectators each club will be allowed in.

How can anyone think of buying a season ticket without knowing what exactly they’re buying?

Are you going to see 19,15,10,5 or zero matches this coming season.

I just don’t get this panic by some people to buy a ticket purely based on absolutely nothing tangible.

If the club allow free access to live games via your PC etc and include away games then I get it but if it’s based purely on physical attendance then you need your head testing if you buy a ST at this point.

I bought my season ticket before lock down but I have now applied for a refund and see where we are for next season. If I can't go to games with my mates and have to sit in a stand where we are all spaced out then I would rather not go.
