The Fast Show- any fans on here ?

I’ve just watched the two hour special ,on this cult programme ,and found it very funny, and very interesting, learning a lot about the background to this series. The characters who made up the unmissable weekly series are so diverse , but very funny at the same time. I don’t know about you, but at the height of it’s popularity, our family would make time ,in order not to miss it every week. There was more to the characters than “Suits You Sir”, even though that was and still is, my favourite sketch from the show. Many of the cast have gone on to other projects, which is a testimony to how clever they all are. One things for certain, i’ve Never tasted Cheesy Peas !!

I didnt know anything about it - didn't recognise the name even - thought it was about speedy transport.

known as Brilliant in the US, is a BBC comedy sketch show that ran from 1994 to 1997 - Its fast-paced "blackout" style set it apart from traditional sketch series because of the number and relative brevity of its sketches; a typical half-hour TV sketch comedy of the period might have consisted of nine or ten major items, with contrived situations and extended setups,

    - did they make a Film of it ? - I can do movies.

Loved it all, but Unlucky Alf and his Parrot was my all time favourite.

It was always watched by myself and my two sons even though we lived hundreds of miles apart --always something to talk about in every programme!

Don't think so BT, Unlucky Alf must be a fair bit younger than our Alf.
