    England- like watching paint dry

Can’t decide if it’s gloss or emulsion.

First England match I have watched for years. It will be the last as well.

Here’s the thing I’d rather paint than watch crab football like that.
For all the statistics passes completed brigade, lets introduce a new one for forward passes instead of sideways.

Wasn't like watching paint dry for me, I had more sense than waste my time watching it.

I watched what were laughably called the highlights yesterday. Thank Heavens I didn’t sit through the whole ninety minutes. Was it possible that this performance against Iceland eclipsed in mind numbing awfulness that dreadful day in the Euros four years ago? Well there were some similarities. Sterling, Kane, Walker and Dier were in the team again though how Dier and Walker were selected this time around is beyond me. Does anyone believe Southgate is picking his best team on form? Trippier had to start at left back because no left back was selected for this game. The lack of a creative midfield wasted the striking talent we do possess. If we continue to play with this lack of imagination we will get hammered by Belgium in particular. All we have to look forward to is the return of Harry “Do You Know Who I Am” Maguire. Ye Gods!

didn't see it - but seems it was another monumental balls up - what else can they make a mockery of ?

It was dreadful, how Gomez is picked ahead of Tarkowski is beyond me.

Iceland's reserve team would not cut it in the Championship, Southgate is clueless.

Just what I was thinking BT, he plays Gomez and Dier in the centre of defence but considers Tarkowski not good enough to include in the squad. Clueless hardly begins to cover it.

Honestly sinkov, I have watched England serve up some dross over the years, but this really was scraping the bottom of the pan.

Maybe Gomez would have put in a better performance if Gareth had paired him in central defence with Uncle Fester.
