NL meeting clubs about fans today

The National League will meet with clubs at 2pm today.

I understand the meeting is to discuss how clubs can move towards holding fan pilot games.

The League will also speak to clubs about calculating their ground capacities for socially distanced spectators.

It should only apply to tinpot grounds, not a ground that can accommodate 6000 in a 20000 seat stadium easily

Didn't someone work out that ML couldn't accommodate any more than @2,000 if social distancing was set @ 2 metres?

If you have a clear 4 seats between people that would mean 2 fans in every 6 seats. Capacity for NL at ML is 18,816 so 6,276. Reduce by as a further 15% to account for odd seat positions and additional SD restraints you are looking at circa 5k. Then take into account the stoopid NL and half that and that’s roughly where we will be so yeah 2,000 not far off!!

The rows aren't two metres apart, so you'd have to have at least every other row empty, wouldn't you?

Also I think you'd have 2 fans every 10 seats if there were 4 empty seats between.

There must be an algorithm that analyses the groups of people who are booking so that family groups and bubbles can sit together, keeps at risk folk apart and still fill the ground, surely?
