All we know from this afternooin's Press Conference is Struber coming out with the standard "My focus is now on Barnsley" ahead of the Boro game and the statement that he has been in discussions with other clubs for months via his agent. It's OK with all concerned apparently if it's done via an agent. Our owners are happy to watch this happen because of the prospect of £1.8 million falling into their lap from the release clause.

Normally I'm reluctant to jump on the negativity with rumours in the press and stuff but I have to agree that the position over the last week or so is hilarious! The fact Struber (or his agent) have been talking to other clubs is one thing (and no doubt goes on all the time with players/coaches) but the fact the club don't have an issue with him talking about it is shocking. For the integrity of the club and the message it gives outwardly he should be told to keep schtum. Secondly, if they truly had the interest of the club at heart they'd have turned round to NYRB and Struber last week and said if you're paying the release clause get on with it and get it sorted. Whereas we apparently have to sit in limbo while this just simmers in the background and no bugger (including the players) knows what's going off.

Lastly (apologies for the rant) I'm sick of hearing how us signing a striker will suddenly solve all our problems. Yes we need one, and yes it needs to be a player that gives us a Plan-B - but it's not as if we're creating oodles of chances per game at the minute. We're having a lot of ball in the first two thirds of the pitch but our final delivery in attacking areas is shocking. Harry Kane could rock up on Saturday and he'd not necessarily get on the score sheet playing in our team. There's more to do than just sign a striker!

Good storyline though. Olive skinned child born in the outbuildings of the Woolpack Inn because all the rooms at the B&B and the Inn were full at Christmas. The Tates come to see the child bearing expensive gifts. The mother denying her husband wo the dad, saying she wo still a virgin so a ghost musta done it while she wo asleep. The local vicar, between shagging the next bobby to visit here, holds a service and says that frum nar on willeva holiday to celebrate.
