A poor result but probably the fair one

Cardiff came to stifle a free scoring side and they succeeded.
Saxo touched on this point and unfortunately that is just what happened,if we have any design's on going up,this is what we need to figure out how to counter this.
More and more teams will come to ewood looking to get a draw and snatch a win.
I dont like the tactics but it's a proven style against us.

    You're right, Robin.
Perhaps if Armstrong had put our best chance away, we'd have seen a completely different type of second half.
    A couple of positives, though.
    1) I've never seen Bell have a better game.
    2) Dolan knows what to expect, now that he's no longer a surprise. In the long run, that will be good for his game.

I don't think we will see the same from Forest, though. My cousin, the Bristol City supporter, is very one-eyed, but his email says they were extremely lucky to beat NF yesterday. He reckons the display from the BC keeper was one of the best he's ever seen. Apparently, he made six or seven brilliant saves in the second half, in the face of a Forest bombardment.

I am not looking forward to the forest game at all.
That squad should be up the other end of the league and eventually will click.
Just hope it's not against us.

A 3rd clean sheet in a row. More positives than negatives. Cardiff are no better or worse than us. This was a proper test. Not a poor Wycombe side or playing Derby at the right time. We where never going to carry on battering sides. So I kind of expected a very close game. Keeps an unbeaten run going. Without Lenihan. This keeper seems to settled quickly. Bell looking ok at LB. He is also part of a defence who haven't conceding in 3. So deserves some plaudits.

It now becomes a matter of whether we can find one more experienced defender.
The extra keeper would be nice, but I'm sceptical about that. Who is GOOD, AVAILABLE, INEXPENSIVE and WILLING TO SPEND MOST OF THE YEAR ON THE BENCH? Would the incomer be any better than Leutwiler?
Anyway, it is the extra defender that is definitely more v*tal.
If any two from Nyambe, Lenihan, Williams, Ayala and Bell get injured or suspended at the same time, we HAVE to call on youngsters.
It's not the end of the world, but it's not ideal.
I wonder which one will be at the top of the pecking-order, eventually, from Wharton, Magloire, Carter and Grayson.
The other optimistic feature is Lewis Thompson's apparently excellent form at left-back for the U-23s.
