It’s amazing isn’t it power and pace destroys teams

This was on the cards for them To get tonked ( maybe not 7 ) but they look susceptible defensively to me.
However Villa have gambled on Watkins and he looks like he was made to play in premiership.

I dread to think how we’re going to go on against some of these teams.

This has indeed been on the cards for some time. I’ve been saying for some time that their defence is not as good as what Klopp thinks. The challenge for Dean Smith and indeed Ollie Watkins is to carry this on with some consistency. It will be difficult to do that. Every dog has its day, and you can’t blame everyone connected with Villa for lapping it up.

I agree that pace and power are very important in winning games; our team has none of that!!. If you look today, Man U, Liverpool and Leicester all convincingly beaten and yes their are mitigating factors as well but also let's not forget the impact that the lack of supporters in a live games is having. Psychologically I think it's a massive factor. Wuhan Virus is effecting the motivation and pressure players feel to perform. I now don't think a home game has the advantage it should have over the away side and there will be more of this to come.

I thought Grealish and Barkley were a joy to watch in the Villa midfield, with two players like that they're always going to be a threat, we have Westwood and Stephens, not their fault, they are what they are, but not exactly in the same league are they.

Like Graham Souness yesterday, I am not totally convinced that Grealish is the real deal. Some games last season, you didn’t know he was playing. To me he’s a luxury player in the Glen Hoddle mould. You need someone there with him to do the donkey work. Yes he’s got talent, but he has to bring some consistency to his game more often.I believe he could be a decent player, but I think he needs to move away from Villa Park to achieve what he set out to do.
