Thread: Winter transfer window...

  1. #1

    Question Winter transfer window...

The winter transfer window will open on January 4th 2021, and run through to February 1st.

It seems a certainty Tarkowski will be offloaded to the highest bidder because we cannot afford to lose him on a free next summer.

Are Long and Dunne good enough to fill the void?

Will the takeover be completed with transfer funds available?

As usual with Burnley Football Club there are more questions than answers, but with hope and optimism in mind, I have just washed and waxed the shopping trolley...

Our season is turning into a case of football secondary to off field issues that potentially could well see us relegated. bizarre end to a bizarre year. This made possible by the lack of live support on match days and therefore no protests against Garlick etc. As in all things now we the people are of no consequence.

Just hope your trolley gets some use during the winter window BT.
When a player publicly states he wishes to leave than it is best to let him go to the highest bidder, will be sad to see Tarkowski leave but it is his right to want to do so. I don’t think Long is good enough but Dunne could be if he is given the chance, in the earlier matches this season I thought he was better than Long.
After the BFC statement this week that negotiations are still ongoing, when some time ago it was reported that an agreement had been signed, proof of funds established and just waiting for the league’s approval. I have some misgivings that we are unlikely to see any takeover this season. In which case I can’t see Garlick allowing any expenditure on the team.

Sounds like a decent summing up of where we are right now V_C.

Well for all the talk of the best for the club going forward etc from my perspective anyway that’s un acceptable if the buy out isn’t sorted or they don’t back the manager in January.

To give Dyche even a fighting chance they need to do something buy out or not , we need re enforcements and good quality ones , to top that we’re going to lose a stalwart centre back.

I think truthfully the board are getting off lightly or will get off lightly as no fans there to let there feelings known.

It’s a tough weight to carry around your neck for Garlick if we’re relegated I don’t think
He’d be very popular if we go down.

His value is dropping with every week that goes by Alf and he is not the same player we saw at this time last season.

He looks like his heart is no longer in it, best he leaves and let either Long or Dunne give it their best shot I think.
