    Ray Clemence is dead.

Losing an awful lot of exceptional ex-players at present. R.I.P. Ray.

He was playing in the same era as Peter Shilton, and still won 61 England caps, that tells you how good he was.

    RIP

    72 - Advanced Prostate Cancer.

OK - You die with it mainly not from it.I belong to a bowls Club and I am one of 5 members who have had Prostate Cancer. My surgery bombards me with requests to get a Flu jab (No thanks) and now a bone density check (what the hell is that) but as a matter of routine do they check men over the age of 65 for prostate cancer? Not that I know of.

My father-in-law was diagnosed with this a few months ago. We were told the bone density check was to see if the cancer had spread, sadly it had spread to his hip bone.

From what I can gather though, the cancer can be contained and unless something else gets him, he is OK for a few years yet.
