    Great keeper in those great Liverpool teams. Him and Shilton used to take it in turns for England didn’t they?

    I remember seeing him at the Lane in the same Scunny team as Keegan in the 60's.

    Yep, how on Earth did England fail to qualify for two successive World Cups and fail to make a mark on Euro 76 with those two between the sticks? The defence must have been sub-par.

    Clemence made the wonder save at Meadow Lane to deny us an historic FA Cup victory against Spurs in 1986, he also played two league games with Spurs at ML.

    Keegan yes, I'd question Clemence though. He left for Liverpool in 1967 and Notts didn't play Scunny until 1969.

    I grew up watching Liverpool in the 70s. One word for Clemence - brilliant. I remember his first return to Anfield with Spurs - standing ovation all round.
