    Mad friday !!!

This will be the first time since the early 1980s (when I assume it was invented) that I’ll not be walking around Barnsley pubs on Mad Friday.
As Homer Simpson once said to Lisa after Bart had burnt down the Christmas tree ........ “Lisa - where’s Christmas !?!?! “.

I can honestly say I’ve not seen any bother on Mad Friday - in fact quite the opposite - people in a very joyous mood.
In fact - in all the times I’ve been out in Tarn I’ve not seen much trouble - and yet it’s got a reputation for it - mostly from those that live in other nearby towns that don’t know it.
    I love Barnsley.

It might have been renamed as mad Friday in the 80s nudger but we went round town on the last working Friday in the 60s & 70s but in them days it was just known as a pi**ed up pub crawl.

It's known as Mad Friday for a reason which separates it from your normal Saturday night or even Sunday when it's bank holiday the next day .

The NHS are geared up for it , the police and security staff at bars and clubs .

It's Mad Friday and delivers what it says on the tin .
