Arsenal need to win, Burnley need a result - something will have to give!![]()
Arteta under pressure? Well no more so than a submarine with a leaky hull at 250 metres depth. Struggling in the Premier League they have however excelled in the Europa League. Their latest 4-2 win at Dundalk giving them a perfect 6/6 score in the group stages. So who will Arteta pick to lead his attack against the Clarets on Sunday? Old nemesis Aubameyang who has 7 goals in 5 games against the Clarets seems likely to start but young gun Balogun has now staked a claim. For Burnley I think attitude will matter as much as the actual personnel we deploy on the day. We can hurt Arsenal though David Luiz will be a tough nut to crack. COYC!

As yet we have only picked up 2 points against the Arsenal in the Premier League with 2 home draws firstly in 2009 and again 2020. Away from home has been a disaster zone but if it is to end no better time than now but this is why I think our attitude and belief will be so important. If only Guendouzi was still in the Arsenal line up!
Do you really think we are going to get anything out of this game?? Seriously!
The situation reminds me of that opening day 3-2 victory over Chelsea back in 2017. No-one gave us a prayer against the reigning champions but Sam Vokes with two and Stephen Ward made it 3-0 at half-time. That performance was down to determination and belief. Agreed two suicidal red cards for Chelsea came in handy. David Luiz figured that day for Chelsea and may be on duty for Arsenal on Sunday. The odds are stacked against us but Dum Spiro Spero.

Arteta has confirmed Partey aggravated the same area as before and is now set to miss the next ‘few games’. No fixed timescale has been put on Partey’s recovery as they’ll assess the injury as he recovers but this is a huge blow for Arsenal.
Luiz has missed the last couple of games after suffering a nasty cut to his head following his horrific clash with Raul Jimenez during Arsenal’s defeat to Wolves. The Brazilian will be assessed over the next 48 hours to determine whether he’ll be able to return to action against Burnley on Sunday.
There was some good news on Martinelli earlier this week as he made his long-awaited return with a run out for the U23s. He only lasted 45 minutes but Arteta has suggested it was a planned substitution and Martinelli came through the game well. Therefore, it was a positive step in his bid to return to first team action but the youngster isn’t expected to be in contention to face Burnley.
Reiss Nelson and Sead Kolasinac missed the win over Dundalk on Thursday night due to minor knocks. Arteta didn’t mention them in his update so we’ll have to wait and see whether they’re involved on Sunday.

Phil Bardsley and Dale Stephens are back in training but the latter is set for a run-out before returning to the first team squad.
Johann Berg Gudmundsson is unlikely to be risked while Jack Cork continues to make progress on his return from an ankle injury.
Artetas tactics
The Gunners' last two Premier League fixtures have seen them cross the ball into the penalty area 35 and 44 times respectively against Wolves and Tottenham. It paid off on one occasion, with central defender Gabriel stooping to head past Rui Patricio during a 2-1 home defeat to Nuno Espirito Santo's side, but Spurs dealt with everything that was propelled into their area with relative ease.
Mikel Arteta has revealed that some of Arsenal's youngsters could be in line to start against Burnley in the Premier League.
The Gunners younger players have shone in the Europa League so far this season and helped Arsenal to a 4-2 victory over Dundalk on Thursday. The result ensured Arsenal became the only side in Europe to have a 100% group stage record, scoring 20 goals on their way to topping group B.
Contrastingly, the more senior players in the Premier League have scored just 10 goals in 11 matches and sit 15th in the table.

....not often we play a big name who aren't expected to walk all over us - and where us winning it, wouldn't be seen as an amazing accomplishment - no worse than a draw then.
