John Fitzpatrick, Manchester United midfielder, born and brought up in Aberdeen, has died aged 74. When Mainly Standing and I, in TRF days, used to be invited on to Northsound sport in the Aitken/Miller years, Fitzy was the resident fitba expert. Fun times, and great stories of his days battling with the likes of Johnny Giles and Peter Storey. Ach.
