    Brexit

Just about 10 days to go and we are free to do whatever we want eh? Who’s in celebratory mood? I know the majority on here are. I can’t wait to see my pockets full of extra cash. If and it’s a big big if, should things go wrong who can we blame? I look forward to reading all the excuses on here.

I was pro Brexit but to be honest with the way Boris has dealt with this pandemic in a slap dash way and how the bloc have held firm. I don’t know what lies ahead and can see the rich getting richer and the poor being screwed even more!

I blame the EU for the situation to be honest with you Regis.

All they needed to do was to make some small concessions to Cameron when he explained how much his back was against the wall with the UKIP situation back home.

They refused and if I remember the French PM turned his back on him as he offered a handshake.

The EU could’ve killed the UKIP fox by maybe even charging us for a right to limit immigration based on the fact that as an island we needed a special status.

To much posturing and arrogance on their side I feel, they were so arrogant they thought we’d never vote to leave.

Buying and selling fine. It became more than that. WE CONTROL YOU, is what its become. Even now. They have no idea what compromise is. We cant cherry pick they say then they want to cherry pick fishing rights. Its all about them and their model. We are nothing like them never have been. Would rather eat grass, but we all know that everything carries on in time and the difference will be that we get to do what we want without 27 others letting us know if we can. As for all the remoaners, nothing has changed. STILL going on about it. I switched off from them 4 years ago. so no. Nothing changed here.

I think the French are closet Germans, they resent all the sacrifices and lives lost saving them in 2 world wars.
De Gaule escaping over here to hide behind Churchill, then blocking us from joining the common market.
If Merkel put her jack boots on the port would be open, as soon Macron could shout for help down the tunnel

I honestly wouldn't waste your time Regis.

Leavers are indoctrinated, they are too far gone.

There are too many other people they will blame like the EU, or civil servants, or remainers, or judges. Anyone apart from the Leave campaign who successfully conned them. They don't want to lose face and admit it.

I spoke to two leavers recently, one voted Leave and said he didn't mind if we were poorer because of it. The other (a guy about 70) told me he voted because we won the war. What hope have you got when a war that finished 80 years ago shapes your opinion on modern day international trade.

I'm still trying to figure out one, just one benefit of leaving. I'm struggling.

The leave campaign was dishonest and misleading, but it was too effective. Leavers actually want to be poorer for no tangible benefits. You can't reason with people like that.

Hi, the trade as always been in there favour. We joined the common market not the EU.
When you have watch your Dad put his artificial leg on every morning and go and work in factory.
Or you talk to your uncle about being a Japanese prisoner of war.
Or you hear your Grandad talk about being in the trenches in WW1
Or my Moms brother telling me the horror of being on Dunkirk beach.
    You don't forget the Wars.

It seeems wrong to me on several levels. We certainly won't be better off leaving.
Never mind though, we can trade with Chile.

    “Indoctrinated” 😆😆😆😆😆

Oh the irony of that word coming via yourself, I almost spat my tea out laughing.

Your the biggest political zealot on this platform.

You disappear for weeks on end, which is a massive bonus because we have no political angst on here and when you do return it’s always political.......like I said, you’re a London Leftie Zealot 123.......You just can’t admit it.

Your comment about the war being “80 years ago” reeks of indifference and ignorance.

Most of you in your 30’s have not had the benefit of parents and very possibly grandparents who gave service or lived through the war.

A lot of us on here did.

My one grandad lied about his age at 16 to go and fight in WW1.

My other granddad was ten years younger and swam for his life at Dunkirk in WW2.

My dad had to move up to Durham to be safe from the bombings and spent his 4-10 years of age away from his home.

Your lack of understanding of the way those of us in the 50 - 70 age group respect and hold onto what our parents and grandparents fought for does you no credit.

I hope you’re blonde haired and have blue eyes because if it wasn’t for our elders it’s very likely you wouldn’t exist.
