The Best ground in the Fourth Division

Seeing today's result, Bolton getting beat by Crawley at home reminded me of our dire days and the accolade we had. Has the Reebok (or whatever it's called now) taken on that mantle?

Best ground in the Conference but please do remember, they were ten years in front of us.

One of the classic "hoisted by your own petard" statements, let's hope they are still not 10 years in front of us.

The worst one I have been to was The Shay at Halifax.

    But I loved it!

That reminds me of following Wigan rugby in the 80s ,Halifax ground was Called thrum hall, right at top of Halifax,it was mid april and we had hailstone, thunder snow sunshine winds .unbelievable weather for time of year. Anyway Wigan won with a late drop goal.. Think they play at the Shay now.

For about five years in the early 80s I watched Halifax Dukes every Saturday night at the Shay, the stadium might have been a bit run down but the banked Speedway track made the racing spectacular.

I can remember the Shay and an open end behind the goals (perhaps it was all open) and a bit of a snowball fight but can't remember the match.
