Most countries will be counting deaths caused directly and specifically by Covid, i.e. where Covid is given as the primary cause of death. For political reasons we report deaths with a positive test within the last 28 days, Covid symptoms or not, and where Covid is simply mentioned on the death certificate.Originally Posted by BCram

Interesting that countries who went for a hard lockdown and closed borders have done better than Scotland with no control of borders and unable to lockdown until phuckwit Johnson was forced to as deaths rose last March.

Sweden population isn't between 5 and 6 million.
Finland didn't have full lockdown either but you will know that.
