Just wondered if any of you have seen the film about Baseball called Moneyball. Whilst watching it on Netflix it occurred to me that much of the story is very similar to Notts County’s experience over the last few years. Just change the teams name to Notts County and the managers name to Neal Ardley and consider the focus on statistics and you are there. There are other parallels but I don’t want to mention them as it spoils the story for those who haven’t seen it. Anyway if you haven’t seen it watch it if you get the chance as most sports fans will enjoy it anyway
Hall Of Fame
I've seen it a couple of times, it's a good watch. It seems to me that's the approach we're using now combined with Ardley/Abbotts contacts and choices. In the main the recruitment has been good since the Reedtz took over so seems to be working so far.
First Team
A good film, not just for sports fans either. I found out the other day that Billy Beane, who the film is about if you haven't seen it, is one of the owners of Barnsley. Might be common knowledge but I didn't know.
Hall Of Fame
Yes it is a good film. There was much comparison on here between the Moneyball concept and our new owners' approach when they took over, with many comparing us with Brentford for that reason.
