AFC Bournemouth v Barnsley Match Thoughts

There's little point pretending otherwise , this is a big game for both clubs , not necessarily season defining but it's possible it could be .

A win for ourselves put us five points ahead of the Cherries , a win for the home side puts them one point ahead of us .

I'd personally snatch your hands off for a point on Saturday but just imagine what a devastating blow we could deliver to the Cherries with the win .

Tactically this is a fascinating contest , I've no doubt Bournemouth will try and play through our press with the quality of players they have at their disposal and playing at home .

This game has all the hallmarks of the Brentford away game a few weeks ago but we will have to be right bang at at to come away with a similar result , just as we were that day in West London .

We are in a great position and I'm looking forward to this on Saturday afternoon .

Nowt to be nervous about , there's massively more pressure on Bournemouth than ourselves I can tell you .

We'll do this lot, I'm confident. There's a score to settle after our 0-4 home defeat earlier in the season which was very harsh in my opinion. All the pressures on them.

Weather could well be improving down there an Saturday afternoon.
This one is the real test to see just where we are.
If we could buy a point then I’m sure Val would have his cheque book out already!

If we win tmoz I'll get that feeling like i had when we made playoffs and battered wallsall and millwall. We want no upsets about players managers leaving but if there mindsets right we should give even more just hope all players dont do a snake and turn us over. One thing wi our system you give everything and every fan in the world respects that.

It bugs me that we might actually get a good result there at Bournemoth, and then we might blow it away at the bottom club Wycombe in the next game.

Pearson starts for Bournemouth. Looks a bit of a handful that lot!

I'd have started with Morris myself which offers the opportunity for that ball to stick up top .

That said Val's got more right than he's got wrong so far but I am concerned at the starting front three I have to say .

    Hopefully I'm well wrong .
