Listening to Val - something our owners need to realise

People like Val that are relatively new to Barnsley need to understand how some people perceive Barnsley.

Politically we have been dumped on for decades by all political parties.
Culturally we have been dumped on for decades by various commentators.
In football terms we have often been dumped on by people working within football or football commentators - while being looked down on by our local rivals such as Leeds and Sheffield.

Consequently Barnsley is very unlikely to receive any favours - whether that’s from referees or from people stood on the touch lines watching the game.
The only people that can change the ingrained perception many people have of Barnsley is our owners.

As everybody surely knows on here, Barnsley is NOT my hometown. But I do also take the blows and get peed off as well when I see and hear ignorant journalism slagging off my team, the team I support.
