    Batley Grammar School

A teacher has made a mistake and there's an apology! The scenes outside that school though represent everything that is wrong with this country. What's it teaching all those kids with parents/yobs protesting outside the school gates?

The teacher has been suspended for what is probably an innocent mistake but all the protesters want a sacking and the teacher has gone in hiding fearing for her life!

Should referees get sacked when they make a simple mistake? What about mistakes by medics or the government which could/has cost lives? No - everybody makes mistakes including me probably many times.

Every Muslim representation has come out in force saying it's shameful and this and that but what does this do for racial harmony! Even the Muslim guy who works for me said it's not in his name or religion and pathetic!

Should teachers be hounded every time they show material - what about gender ( it - they ) and be what you want etc etc. Teachers are there to educate and not intimated as their jobs are hard enough!

Disgusted with the scenes and one note to consider as below!!!

There was quite a crowd outside that school in a pandemic and what did the police do? We all know what happened at the Sarah Everard vigil where the police waded in when a poor girl was tragically murdered.

Why the difference between the two?

Appalling that this even happens in this country!

The Ramadhan Foundation's Mohammed Shafiq said: 'We are proud to exercise our civic rights in regards to freedom of speech by standing up against such depictions.‘
What bollox! Freedom of speech does not exist in most Muslim states! As long as the teacher had explained before hand to his class the purpose then fair play to him, in my view religion has no place in education and the state and religion should be entirely separate.

Good post. There is an over reaction to everything these days and you KNOW we all make mistakes, somehow though its all forgotten. It creates an atmosphere of being afraid to do or say anything for fear of severe repercussions.

Schools should be about education not filling their heads with fairy stories. If those morons protesting outside that school are so determined to live their lives according to such nonsense then they should take themselves off to somewhere such as Iran.

Where the hell is all this going to end? I said when all this BLM started that it would set back race relations years. I was wrong, it has set it back decades! It's all very well for us to be proud of being a moderate, welcoming nation but it has got to the stage where the White majority are in fear of making any comment that could be remotely judged as racial. This may sound a little dramatic but I really am in fear as to where this country will be in not many years time if we continue on this route. Even writing this post I feel that I have to be mindful in what I say. That is not free speech and what this country should be about.

Also, the head of that school should have had the guts to support his member of staff against those mediaeval minded idiots who, if given the chance, would probably stone the teacher to death. Keep religion out of schools.

Top post - in France a teacher also did something similar and was beheaded.

That was a huge mistake for the Head to pander to these w ankers - he could simply have said - apologies if any offence was caused as it was not meant and I am right behind my well respected teacher! Why did the Police not Wade into these protesters and fine them as they did at the Sarah Everard vigil? We know that answer!

Will the Union Jack fly from government buildings in Batley - I doubt it!!

We need to stop cosying up as it’s setting back race relations many years! How will I react to taking the knee when allowed back at matches - boo! That’s not racist as I would be in favor of a billboard - United against racism but not this utter s hite!!!

A staggering number of blokes outside the school at Batley with no facemasks and crammed together.

One rule for them lot and a different one for us.
