Reading 1st half ......... NOWT STICKING

Yes I know I’ve been banging on about this throughout last season and the first half of this season.
....... the biggest change to this season is when we got a replacement for Kieffer ..... and even better we also got a spare.
Either Dike and/or Morris have got to be on the field at anyone time.
Without either one, or better still both, of these on the pitch then we can have as much of the play as we like and can press as good as we want ....... but as soon as the ball is played forward ........
ITS GOING TO COME STRAIGHT BACK AT US.

    Nothing sticking up front.
    Very disappointing.

    We were lucky.
    Then unlucky.
    Disallowed goal AGAIN.
No wonder Val looked vicious after the final whistle.

But all this is honestly doing my nut in !!!
Thank God there was the best film ever made showing straight away on the BBC.
    RELAX AND CALM........

We don't know what the situation is behind the scenes with regard to the fitness of the front three Nudge .

I've read that Morris is carrying a knock from the moment he signed in January and can't do what we all hope he can .

I knew Dike was carrying a knock too last week when he didn't feature for the USMNT against Jamaica .

I don't believe for one minute that was Val's preferred starting front three but he has to manage it with the facts he's getting told from the fitness and sports scientists at the club .

It is what it is and to be fair we've done remarkably well to stay injury free this season .

That could very much explain things.
You would think Val would get together 2 packs of 3 strikers.
With each pack working together closely in training - but also keeping in tune with what individuals within the other pack are capable of.
As one pack comes off another one comes on.
With a bit of tweaking available to change things here and there.
    But that’s not the case.
Val is not doing the obvious.
So it makes you wonder why.
We were clearly missing one of the big lads in the first half.
A game where we dominate territory and should have easily won - but we just manage to get a draw.
I’ve said this before - either Dike or Morris (or both) must be on the pitch during a match.

But if they aren't fit enough to start Nudge then how do you play it ?

Try and stay in the game which is what we did and then bring them on to affect it ?

Val has also a game on monday at Luton to think about .

It's easy sat in our arm chairs , the reality is totally different .

Given the importance of the game , the fact we couldn't start with our strongest front three .

It's a massive point in my opinion .
