Brian Barwick resigns as NL chairman

Just heard on the wireless. No surprise, this league has been a total farce over the past year.
He was in charge of ITV digital at the time that collapsed and caused us massive problems when Scardino and Storrie were at the helm, having already spent the money from the TV deal that we would never get.

The deadline has passed for National League clubs to express support for an EGM to hold vote of 'no confidence' in the chairman & the board.

Clubs in support are now in discussion regarding the next steps.

Further announcements are expected on Thursday.

    CONFIRMED:

National League chairman Brian Barwick will stand down at the end of the season.

Barwick: “I think it is the right time to relinquish the role - and give somebody else the great privilege of leading the organisation.”

I think when he was appointed his brief was to make football's other administrators look comparatively competent. That was a tall order, but fair play he actually managed to achieve it!
