Newcastle have only lost one of their last 8 games, it might be luck, or it might be that Steve Bruce has finally worked out the best place for our Jeff, sat on the bench out of harm's way.

Not lucky, they just worked hard and Liverpool failed to put chances away, just as we had done against Newcastle.

It is a good job that Steve Bruce didn't down tools like the vast majority of their fans did. Since losing against Man United they have won twice and drawn five and lost just one at Brighton.

towards the end of the game - Liverpool defended deep, stupidly so....so more bizarre tactics, odd substitutions and unexplainably poor finishing...all things that play into the oppositions hands....They've been masters at it this season...give them that !
