    The Jimmy Sirrel Stand

Over the last 2 home games it's been apparent how much difference opening up the JST to Notts supporters is for the atmosphere of the stadium. The 4,000 odd supporters sounded like 10,000 and the atmosphere in the ground was completely different. I am sure the players could feel this when they were getting support from all 4 sides of the ground. Can't we start a campaign to ask the club to allow home fans back in the JST again? Surely. allotting the X block only to away fans is possible?

I'd have said your suggestion is completely do-able. You see it all over the country on a Sat afto, home and away supporters sharing a stand. Just AAMOI, how long will it be before any away support is allowed in any ground?

Can the family stand become the away end, expanding to Block Z of the JS for bigger games? I think having the whole of one side for the visitors dilutes our home advantage.

Making the JS available to home fans is a difficult question. For the vast majority of our home games is seems a good option, but it wouldn't work if we play Chesterfield next season, or to be more optimistic Mansfield next season. I've been amazed by what social distancing has done to the atmosphere in the ground. I thought it would kill it, but in the two games I've witnessed it's actually enhanced it. That could be because we were so desperate to get back to see live footy or because we won both games, but if it can be done on a game by game basis (season tickets are the obvious problem) then it's well worth looking in to.

ps What does AAMOI stand for gumpy? Even google doesn't help me.

The atmosphere was fantastic yesterday, though it was a big, and as it turned out, very entertaining game.

Hard to recreate it in ‘normal’ times unless the club get to allocate tickets so everyone is equally spread out. I’m sure plenty would have objections to that. Also, there would have been 3,000ish Chesterfield fans there, which would have given them a boost, but unless the club wants to lose revenue, how do you stop that?

I would much rather the JS stand be for home fans and the family stand for away Supporters
Not only does it help with the atmosphere, the view from tge
