If England lose, is it the end for Southgate ?

There’s been several people on here criticising the England manager, and i’m One of them. Although you can’t argue with the team’s current position, I feel the criticism has been justified, due to the way the team has looked uninspiring in this competition. Germany will be buoyed by their qualification, and will be relishing doing battle with England at the home of football. So where does this game leave Southgate.? If they win, he will be the Nations darling, but if they lose ,what happens then ? He was brought in to win trophies, just like any other club manager.Expectations are high, England are playing at home.It has to be a win. If they fail on Tuesday evening, the English public and all sections of the media will no doubt, pile the pressure on ,for a change to be made. Will the English FA then have the guts to admit they appointed the wrong person ? I doubt it. England expects to win, and if they don’t , it’s going to be very interesting indeed.

If we lose he should resign if he is a man of principles.

    .

from what i've seen of both teams....they've been so inept it's a joke, so am expecting them both to raise their game - if not, there's a book i've nearly finished.

Remember his words when England started again after the World Cup. . . . . . . "We want to build on our success we had in the World Cup", A pathetic quote by Southgate after we hardly did anything above average, so don't be surprised if we bow out and the arrogant yes man stays in charge with the FA clapping him into the furture.

If we lose he’ll be on his knees but he won’t be out.

I read before the tournament started some FA suit saying his job was safe no matter the outcome of the Euros. The FA love Gareth, he's bomb-proof.

I think he has a job for the forseeable future whatever happens. They have their YES man who will sign up to all their woke Cultural Marxist agenda so who cares about results.
Taking the knee is far more important than playing well and winning games. They have the excuses prepared if we go out.The team is still young-the next World Cup will be the defining moment etc, etc.

Michael Holding has just joined Southgate by taking the moral high ground. "If you don't kneel, I know where you stand." WTF

I stand with Wilfried Zaha, I wonder what Michael Holding the batsman's Willey has to say about that ?
