    Very big match this.

Have to remember David Hopkin is Ayr manager now and he sets his teams out to be physical and hard to beat, and a bit like Wimbledon in the 1980s. His teams always do a decent job though and seem to be motivated to follow his plan

This will be big challenge for United. Want to do well in all the cups and this will be indication of where we are this season

If the lads could handle the huns, they can handle anything Ayr throw at them as long as they are up for the match. Easy to get pumped up playing the Champions, Tam just needs to make sure he fires them up for this one, ‘mon The Terrors

That's my thinking mate, dinnie let these teams exploit our weaknesses,go and look for their's instead. Its an FN simple game, get on the front foot as we did last week and the rest takes care of itself.
NEVER ever go to a Championship team's ground and sit back, go for the jugular from the first whistle.

Somerset Park has been a graveyard for many top flight teams, but I fancy us to get a cracking result on Saturday, ‘mon The Terrors

No reason why not. Confidence should be sky high. 4 at the back and the same intensity that we had on Saturday and we should be ok.
Lineup might be a headache for Tam though, especially if Jamie Robson doesn't start and Chalmers also misses out.

Was there when Dykstra saved a pen in last minute, Q the pitch invasion.
Havnt been there since, lots of duelling banjo types looking for a scrap in the car park after.

My last time at Somerset Park too.
March 1999, Scottish Cup quarter final. 0-0.
    Luggy was the manager.
Ayr get a penalty on 89 mins to create a shock & reach the semis.
Andy Walker steps up to take.
Batters it right down the centre of the goal.
But Sieb doesn't move, like he'd preempted Walker's strategy.
His huge 6'5" frame is a brick wall in the centre of the goal.
Walker hits it so hard that the ball rebounds off Sieb's chest & goes sailing over Walker's head.
    SIEB SIEB SIEB SIEB.........

We won the replay at Tannadice 2-1.
