Was searching for a former player andy,who's surname I couldn't remember eventually found it (hayward) ..but come across one called Andy brownrigg yeah me neither- but apparently after his first subs bench that night was attacked with a hammer! Anybody know anything about it? Was wondering if it was rival fans

The game he was on the bench was Cambridge away, we lost 2-1.
The youth that hit him in the face with a hammer got four years in prison.
He was originally a yt at Rotherham but released. Came back to us in 1997 when Ronnie Moore was manager. He had his demons, drink, drugs etc and ended up in Tony Adams sporting chance clinic.
He's turned his life round so credit to him.
