    The clock is ticking...

As another window begins to shut it looks like Collins, Hennessey and Lennon will be our only additions.

Word from Birmingham is that Villa still hope hope to capture the signing of Dwight McNeil...

I can see this happening if Villa can spring £40 million and we can bring in Cornet for £15 million. Like for like player swap and a £25 million windfall for ALK.

I cannot see Cornet coming to BFC in a million years BT.He is waiting for a better offer-not money wise but club wise.

Fairly obvious trend. Gibson money buys Collins. Hennessey and Lennon frees.

Cornet would only be bought on the back of a sale or two. I don’t think that there is any money available. I expect nothing to happen between now and the end of the month, unless Crouchy comes out of retirement. Not 40 yet so fits the master plan.

How we keep surviving in this league with no transfer pot bemuses me.

I don’t think we will survive this season. I can’t see where a win will come from, to be honest. I think SD believes his own spin that there is sufficient quality in the squad. To often it is the same- not clinical enough, silly mistakes at the back, overrun in midfield. The list goes on.

Looking at the fixture list Swiss, I think it will be October before we score any points.I am always pessimistic but this season I have reason to be.Oldest and smallest squad in the PL which is exactly as you say getting outplayed-no wins at the Turf now in eleven matches going back to January. That is relegation form as we will not be so lucky on the road this season.
We are slow, lethargic and predictable.None of the strikers are in form.Midfield is hopelessly weak.Recipe for disaster.
