    Bruce "Gems"

    Todays favourite:

Steve Bruce: We trained all week in dry conditions and today at Villa Park the rain was very wet which we didnt prepare for.

    You couldn't make it up.

Wasn't it precisely the same for every team in the country?

I do sympathise with cabbage heed though. The weather forecast is often wrong. How dare they mislead him into thinking it will be dry when all along it was geared towards the vile.Whats next oh great one ? Sueing the meteorological society alongside the EPL ?

Is this actually true? I didn't watch post-match interviews as it was late-ish here in Thailand when it finished and I didn't really think there was anything anyone could say to make me feel positive about the performance!

If that’s what he actually said, then he should be feeling very embarrassed this morning. After watching the highlights of the first 2 games, I’m wondering where Steve Clemence is.? I couldn’t see him on the touch line, with the other 2 Steve’s. Have I just missed him?

Tell Bruce that the rain didn't stop Ings from pulling out a worldy.

He's a joke of a manager... in his tight-fitting top yesterday

He looked like haggis in that jumper, man.

He’ll need to tip one of the paddling pools onto the training pitch this week.

Perfect conditions for football. Ball comes on to you like a dream, especially with today's wonderful pitches. Hence the reason they water them pre match.

And I'm sure the training ground pitches will be watered well too.

In fact, I find it difficult to believe he's said that!
