Any thoughts on this one?
My first ever away match was against Stoke, a miserable foggy day and a miserable result, a 1-0 defeat to a goal scored direct from a corner. That's always tempered my confidence about playing Stoke and I'm no more optimistic ths time. Still, you never know!
Anyone got a more scientific prediction of how we'll feel come 5 o'clock saturday?

A repeat of the Rooney inspired 4-0 thrashing from two seasons ago would be brilliant.
Sadly it also seems about as likely Mel being adopted as a role model for football club ownership by the EFL. 1-1 at best.
I expect Stoke to play the "bypass midfield" tactic a la Barnsley/WBA. Not much midfield football play. Lawrence to get sufficiently frustrated at seeing the ball permanently 30 feet above his head that he gets carded at least once. We leave the faffing about at the back tactic in the dressing room and keep giving them the ball back as our midgets can't outjump (our midgets don't jump very often anyway) their 6' 11" players. Under pressure for much of the game and nick the winner on the counter in the 87th minute.
Sweet dreams![]()
MA says 'nick the winner on the counter'!!
You mean we're going to score a goal? Jeez, can't wait for this momentous event!
(Memo to self: 'don't believe fairy stories, 0-2 defeat!')
Who's having sweet dreams if the Rams are involved??
It's likely that the only chance we will score again is in the land of nod!! lol.
Cue a thrilling 4-5 defeat
So what odds on Mel being there today, and receiving thunderous applause from his adoring fan base?
Well I never saw that coming, keep this up and we might not be relegated at all
