    Martinez Next Manager

Some interesting points raised on a Toon group I'm on on Facebook.

Were talking about Jones interview for the chelski game and how he kept referencing the new manager. Now in itself that is nothing.

However, Jones has also been fairl confident that he'll be staying once the new manager is in.

Unless he is moving to academy or U23 (which seems unlikely to me) it means he'll be around the first team, but new managers always want to bring in their own team.

Now, the only manager that I can see being happy with Jones being kept on would be one who he has worked with before - which of "top" level is only Martinez.

I could be reading way to much into it but we've hit that point

    Thoughts?

i don't think its likely at all. I HOPE its not even considered.

His premier league record is a disaster relegation and sackings all over the shop. Fans of the clubs he managed don't like him.
His record with Belgium is hardly pulling up any trees considering the absolute volume of quality players in that squad.
Defensively he is crap, he likes open attacking play but seriously lacks at the back.

I cant see him ditching Belgium before the world cup next summer and we need a manager now that can give 100% attention on saving us from relegation.
The prime time to get a new manager in is now, so they can use the international break to get to grips with the squad.
This bloke will be away with Belgium for the internationals.

Its a swift "hell no" from me

I can really see us going for that bloke in charge of the Saudi club

Some come down for him. Imagine going from that quality Belgium squad, then meeting our lot on his first day,

Personally, I hope you're right about Martinez, however, quite a lot of bits do click.

Equally, it is probably me reading to much into stuff

I could see us going for the Leonardo Jardim as well, however, he is another I hope we don't personally.

No thanks he is a poor manager, from all the big exciting names to then go to Martinez would be a nightmare, Im still hoping Allegri leaves Juventus soon well i can dream I was pretty sure we would have Fonseca in the chair after all the positive news last week. Id rather Eddie Howe then Martinez if were going down the premier league experience route.
