Thread: Sticking my neck out...

    Sticking my neck out...

I'm going to predict the bottom three places in this season's EPL...

    20th Norwich City.
    19th Watford.
    18th Brentford.

    14th Burnley.

    Any takers or doubters?

Not sure about Watford, they looked a useful outfit against Arsenal today, Tinkerman could work the oracle with them, Brentford, Newcastle or Villa possibly to go down with Norwich. I do agree about Burnley though, we're starting to grind out the results, we've only one point less now than we had at this stage of last season, and we got 39 then. Providing the squad isn't seriously weakened in the January window, I can't see us going down.

BT , I’m with you all the way on this one. This time last year I stated publicly that we would not go down, and feel the same this time around. There are far too many doom and gloom merchants on this messageboard, and its about time they started thinking positive. There are at least 3 worse teams than us in this league, and despite our lowly position at the moment, I fully expect this to be the case come next May.

Thing is we’ll be without cornet for 6 weeks and if we don’t make additional signings in January think we might struggle being honest - just realistic that’s all.
Cornet has made a huge difference to
Us because it’s freed up Mcneil to be more creative and I’ve posted before you can’t double mark all creative players as it leaves players free with more space.

It's a big loss army that's for sure, but we stayed up comfortably last season without Cornet, we'll be OK, Cornet is just a bonus.

Cornet certainly brings something different to the team, his enthusiasm for the game is heart warming.

I dont think you need to stick it out that far - BT....because (imo) the majority of PL teams are of rudimentary stock - tiresome and unstable....so i'll say. we'll finish 9th..why not eh !
