    60,000 capacity St.James'

    Just read this in the Blunderland Echo:

    I'm guessing it's possible to buy back the land to expand the Gallowgate at some point. I also saw on Twitter a few people were suggesting turning the entire East Stand into safe standing

    Stadium expansion isn't a priority of course but i imagine the new owners will be looking into it..

    Someone on here -possibly Jammy-had mentioned that the company that own the land are in financial difficulty so it's possible.

    My suspicion is that, in time and if we are successful, then they'll be looking to move and build a brand new one with 70,000+

    isnt the company belonging to ashleys son in law who now has that land ?

    wouldnt safe standing increasing the capacity enough?

    Yes, TL Ashley passed it on to him at a knockdown nominal price. Just another way of cooking the books.
